316 L (ESR/VAR)
1.4441
Annealed
316L (1.4441) is an austenitic stainless steel whose basic composition is similar to the 316L (1.4435), except with a much stricter tolerance to impurities. This gives the steel a better resistance to corrosion than ordinary 316L, making it more suitable for medical applications (and especially implants).
